Donald Nyakairu is a seasoned legal and corporate governance expert with over 20 years of experience across public and private sectors. He is currently a Partner at ENSafrica Advocates, where he advises major financial institutions and corporates, and is a licensed insolvency practitioner.
Previously, he served as Managing Director and Chief Legal Counsel at Uganda Telecom Ltd, leading corporate strategy, regulatory compliance, and spearheading the company’s participation in the $235 million EASSy submarine fibre cable project. He also held regional regulatory roles at LAP GreenN and represented Uganda in diplomatic service in London.
Donald is recognized by Chambers and Partners, Legal 500, and IFLR1000 for his legal excellence and brings strong expertise in legal strategy, governance, and cross-border operations to the boardroom.
