Dr. Peter is a seasoned Agricultural Economist and Private Sector Development Expert with over 20 years of experience in agricultural policy, economic planning, and sustainable development. He currently operates KIKA Farm Ltd in Uganda’s Central Region, where he promotes sustainable land management and commercial tree farming. Dr. Peter also serves as the Chairman of the Board.
Previously, he served for 22 years at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, including as National Coordinator of the CICS Secretariat, leading collaboration between government, development partners, and the private sector to drive economic reform and private sector growth.
Dr. Peter contributed to national agricultural policy through the Plan for Modernization of Agriculture and served as Director of the Coffee Research Centre at NARO, overseeing research on key crops and institutional management.
Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Lecturer at Makerere University, teaching agricultural economics and mentoring graduate students.
He brings to the board deep expertise in agricultural development, public-private partnerships, and economic strategy, with a proven ability to connect policy, research, and practical implementation.
